"The Don't Quit Poem"

The Don't Quit poem  was written many years ago. The author of this poem is was unknown, and still is unfortunately. Sadly, in recent years a number of people have claimed ownership of the poem and some have even claimed to have written it themselves! But either way this poem has helped many get through tough times, especially me. I've been through a lot of difficult hardships in my life, but nothing beats all the challenges I was forced to face in the past two years. My faith was tested in more ways than one, and there were many times where I felt myself falling deep into the deep, dark hole of despair. But somehow, a deep inner strength came through every single time, and helped me rise above every single challenge. Today, I'm still adjusting to changes in my life, but am finally beginning to see all my hard work pay off, and that God did indeed have a wonderful life path for me.

A little voice always telling that in order for me to find success with my goals, I needed to pass a few life tests first. It's a part of everyone's journey in life, and they are given the choice of whether to take the postive road (to stay positive, full of faith, and strong)or the negative road (to give-up & settle for less, be unhappy for the rest of your life.). When times are really touch, and I felt myself losing hope and faith, I'd read this poem. It never once failed to do what it has done for millions, maybe even billions world-wide. It elevated my sprits, giving me strength. I have it hanging on my wall in my room by the mirror so I see it every single day....in the morning when I first wake-up, and at night before I go to bed. Whoever  truthfully wrote this poem is a genious, and I hope that whoever he or she is one day gets the proper acknowledgment he or she deserves.

In hopes, that it helps you in the same way it has helped me.....I've copied the famous poem "The Don't Quit Poem" below:  Enjoy!

Here is the original poem in it's entirety:

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.
